South End/Lower Roxbury Youth Workers' Alliance (YWA) - Jobs, Events and Opportunities

YWA postings are for youth and youth workers. YWA is a professional association for youth workers, in order to develop and support high quality youth workers for our community. 

The Winter Boston 2011 - 2012 Brochure is full of great educational trip destinations for youth programs serving all ages. There are a variety of events going on and many are budget friendly!

If you're looking for resources to support your youth education, after-school or environmental employment program, you've come to the right place.  Click on one of the links below to dive into more resources than you ever dreamed of. 

  • BYEN Resource Wiki - for names and contact information for field trips, guest speakers, food, transportation and more.  You can add to this list (wiki) to share any inside information on resources you know about.

 

  • Business to Business Resource List - BYEN members sharing with other BYEN members.  This list provides information on materials and services we would like to share among environmental education and employment providers in the Boston area.

 

 

  • Resources for EE and Youth Employment Providers - this document library contains resources such as curriculum guides & lesson plans, staff manuals, trail maintenance guides, example youth employment applications, and readings on green jobs.  BYEN members can upload documents that they want to share with others.

 

  • Links to Useful Resources - this list has links to websites, PDFs and other on-line resources that Environmental Educators and Youth Employers might find useful.  You can add links to this list.

 

  • Articles, Readings and Publications - need to bone up on your knowledge of Environmental Education or environmental workforce development?  Are you an academic type who likes to read?  This library has lots of readings in Word and PDF formats.  You can also upload your own.
