Environmental Education & Career Fair!

4th Annual Fair for 15-24 year olds

 

Date & Time:     Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 12:00-4:000PM

 

Location:             Northeastern University’s Curry Student Center

 

Participants:      We expect over 200 youth seeking information about short and long-term environmental education and career opportunities.  Over 40 non-profit organizations, companies and government agencies will participate in a table fair and/or informational workshops to share a wide array of resources with youth in attendance. Space is limited! To attend- REGISTER NOW! 

Purpose:              The Environmental Education and Career Fair is for youth to connect to job opportunities, learn about careers in the environmental sector, related training and higher education degree programs and current projects that Boston’s youth in this industry are working on. 

 

In Boston hundreds of youth work in a wide array of environmental programs in which they engage in hands-on learning activities that build vital job, life skills, reinforce academic learning, and can set them on a career path. Come to discover ways to get involved in Boston and beyond.  

 

Format:               

Ø  Table fair promoting a wide array of youth employment and education resources, summer employment to internships

Ø  Series of informational workshops

Panel of youth discussing their environmental employment experiences
